THE IDENTITY WEAPON

Hey there, It's me back to the game after more than a year. A lot has changed. So did I. The thing that has sparked interest in me to get back to writing today is the political similarity of different geopolitical grounds at so many levels. This is not some new theory of mine that I propose. its just a world view of the juncture that we're at and I'm not blaming anyone for doing it. And yes its not about AI.    The word identity politics has been around since the last decade in India, thanks to Prashant Kishore. Today, the world, politically is at a crux where there are best of many sides playing against each other. But one remained emerging victorious. There is a pattern established to emerge as the winner. That is the game of identity politics.   People identify themselves with many things. from religion, caste, Sex, occupation, region, the language they speak, some people also say that they are an Indian first in an attempt to put the nation first. When I ...

My Metamorphosis

Hello! It's me again, with something more special to me. Now that I'm almost graduated from school ( don't know when this lockdown ends and I get to give my board exams ) I decided to walk dow th memory lane I've paved during these years in my school. Yes, it's St. Gabriel's High School. It transformed me from a bookworm to a person who learns from actual incidents. Lemme explain

I got admitted in the school in 3rd standard and back then I was a greater nerd than I am now. Always topping my class in the previous school. Just boring stuff. But after getting admitted in the school I really wanted to top the class ( such a nerd I was man!! ) But that didn't happen. I remember not getting the first rank ( back then there were ranks and no CGPA kids ) and having high fever back then. That list for the top didn't go back then. It happened later. After learning about photosynthesis in class 3 or 4 I really ran out of the class in interval and wondered looking at trees in the campus. I started questioning everything. I learnt alot during my days of schooling at SGHS.

I'll share an incident which took place in my 7th grade. ( 2016 ). Biannually there were competitions conducted by the Montfortian brothers for sports and games and it was my first one. Our principal Bro. Maynard gave us 10 extra marks for each subject in SA1. I was the only one in our class and our class teacher Mr. Azmath Ali sir didn't knew about it. I still remember going to every teacher the day before results for asking those extra marks and making changes everywhere. The next day Azmath sir called me and made me do the change on the report card. Then I realised, scoring marks will only change the numbers on the report card and that is obviously not going to decide my future. This is something I will never forget.

The school has transformed me from a person who knows nothing about the world to a person who can face the real challenges. I still have a lot of life ahead. SGHS has transformed me from a catterpillar to a butter fly in its cocoon of knowledge. As they say, "I am proud of my school and my school is proud of me. This is my school".
Lead Kindly Light

I can write alot about my school and what it means to me but I don't want to rant and make you bored. That's it for now. Thank you. See  you soon!! 💓
